File Transfer via XMODEM
XMODEM set up procedures
WTI Device Port Configuration:
1. Access port (Network, modem, or Serial) must be set to 3 character disconnect
2. If access is via Network – the connection must be via raw port 3001, raw access must be enabled. Direct connect raw port connections are also supported.
3. Note only one raw port connection to port 3001 is supported at one time.
Terminal Emulation application: (i.e. tera term)
Sending Network Interface
1. Open Tera Term
a) TCP/IP Host - 192.x.x.x
i. Telnet checkbox = uncheck
ii. TCP port# textbox = 3001
b) Login to RSM – set the Seq. Disconnect to 3 characters (e.g. ‘+’ charc)
i. Save parameters
c) Establish a resident connect to port# 3 (/C 3)
d) Tera Term – Transfer File ( DON’T EXECUTE STEP ‘D’ UNTIL SERIALINTERFACE IS SETUP FIRST)
i. Go to File
1. Select Transfer – XMODEM – Send…
a) Make sure that the Checksum radio button is selected
Receiving Serial Interface (example uses a PC as the receiving serial interface)
1. Open Tera Term – COM
a) Under Setup – Serial Port
i. Port: COM
ii. Baudrate: 9600
iii. Data: 8 bit
iv. Stop: 1
v. FlowControl: hardware
b) Tera Term – Transfer File
i. Go to File
1. Select Transfer – XMODEM – Receive…
a) Make sure that the Checksum radio button is selected (go back to Network Interface and execute step ‘D’)
